The Turkish home and kitchewares industry, which has a domestic and foreign trade volume worth 10-billion-dollars, gathered at the 14th edition of International Ideal Homex.
Ideal Homex 2019, held at Tüyap Beylikdüzü, covered a 20 thousand square meter exhibition area and broke new grounds this year. There was a 50% increase in international visitors attending the fair compared to the previous year. A total of 8,718 buyers attended from 70 countries. Many companies took part in the fair for the first time, where only companies that manufacture were represented.
Buying Committees from 26 countries visited the fair as guests of the organiser as part of the Hosted Overseas Buyer Program
Tarsus Turkey, organizers of the fair, introduced a unique new Overseas Buyer Program for the first time at Ideal Homex. Big buyers from across the home and kitchenware industry from Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and even the USA were invited to the fair to take part in face-to-face meetings that were arranged on the exhibitor stands. 62 buyers from 26 countries attended Ideal Homex 2019 and took part in the program.
Eurasia’s leading spring fair for the home and kitchenwares industry; Ideal Homex, will rebrand in 2021 as ‘HOST İstanbul-Housewares Sourcing Turkey’
At the opening ceremony, Tarsus Turkey General Manager Zekeriya Aytemur announced, that the fair will be changing both its name and concept for 2021 and will rebrand as ‘HOST İstanbul’. The industry will meet at the next edition of HOST İstanbul – Housewares Sourcing Turkey, from 25th - 28th March 2021 at Tüyap Fair and Congress Centre. Aytemur continued; “Exhibitors and retail buyers expect a fair that reflects home and kitchenware industry trends” and commented, “this change has been as a direct result of the significant increase in the number of manufacturers and suppliers, who provide private label products and services and in accordance with the industry demand.”
