More than 12,000 buyers, including 2,000 buyers from abroad, are expected to attend HOST Istanbul, the 15th International Turkey Housewares Sourcing Fair, organized by Tarsus Turkey with the support of ZÜCDER, İMMİB, and KOSGEB.
Tarsus Turkey General Manager Zekeriya Aytemur describes the event as the industry’s most prominent spring fair in 2022. “We are continuing the Overseas Buyer program, launched at the 2019 Fair, within the scope of HOST Istanbul 2022. The application was highly successful in the last event, bringing buyers and representatives of chain retail stores from abroad to Istanbul. Domestic manufacturers exhibiting in the Fair can forge new trade agreements with these qualified visitors, contributing millions of dollars in exports to the industry.” Aytemur also noted that the number of foreign visitors rose by 50 percent at the last fair – a trend anticipated to continue at the 15th HOST Istanbul.
Tarsus Turkey again implements the Overseas Buyer program at HOST Istanbul, the spring opportunities fair for the home and kitchenware industry. This year, the number of direct buyers from abroad rose by 50 percent. “At HOST Istanbul in 2019, we increased the number of visitors from abroad by 50 percent, and foreign buyers accounted for 17 percent of the total visitors”, said Zekeriya Aytemur, noting that the Overseas Buyer program made an important contribution to this success. He added that the program, which has a demonstrated impact, will be repeated for HOST Istanbul 2022. Aytemur also said that buyers at the Fair were most prominently from Egypt, Iran, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Palestine, Macedonia, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates, and that the event garnered 93 percent visitor satisfaction. Aytemur then announced that HOST Istanbul 2022 will welcome large-budget buyers from countries in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the CIS and Balkans, and the Asia Pacific region, as well as the USA.
