The Year Starts At: Ideal Homex

The Turkish home and kitchenware sector holds its first meeting of 2019 in March, at the 14th International Ideal Homex Fair, at Tüyap Beylikdüzü. The Fair offers invaluable opportunities for local producers to access alternative export channels and new markets, with thousands of professional buyers from approximately 100 countries in attendance. Ideal Homex hosts exhibitors and buyers representing a massive market worth US$ 5.5 billion, according to 2017 export and import data. Now in its 14th edition, the Fair features innovations and on trend glass, porcelain, ceramic, metal and plastic home and kitchenware products, and showcases items ranging from garden accessories to electrical home appliances.

Deputy General Manager Ebru Causey said that amongst those attending the Fair this year are manufacturers of innovative plastic housewares - from practical kitchenware to bathroom accessories – as well as metal kitchen and cookware, cutlery and teapots, garden accessories, tables and chairs, flower pots and outdoor decorative accessories. She added that, “According to 2017 commerce data, the total market growth of these three sectors has reached US$ 1.5 billion. In addition to the plastic and metal groups, this trade show will feature glass, porcelain and ceramic products with eye-catching designs, decorative items that add a new look to homes, coffee machines, personal care products, and electrical home appliances from vacuums to steam cookers.
